Disable Fax Function

If you have an older Lexmark printer model and are looking to disable the fax option with a flashing red light, follow these steps:

1. Go to the Menu on your printer.

2. Select Security.

3. Choose Edit Security Setup.

4. Navigate to Edit Security Controls.

5. Scroll down to Fax.

6. Select Disabled.

7. Submit the changes by pressing Submit multiple times.

For newer Lexmark printer models such as XC2132, XC4140, XC4150, XC6152, XC8155, and XC8160, follow these steps to disable the fax option:

1. Go to Settings on your printer.

2. Select Fax.

3. Choose Analog Fax Setup.

4. Navigate to General Fax Settings.

5. Scroll down to Enable Line Connected.

6. Turn off the option to disable the fax feature.
