Transferring Address Book to New Ricoh

Modified on Tue, 4 Feb at 3:18 PM

If you need to transfer the address book from your old Ricoh copier to a new one, follow these steps to ensure a smooth transition:

Step 1: Backup the Address Book of the Old Copier

Before removing the old device from the network, be sure to back up the address book. To do this, open your web browser and type in the IP address of the old device. Log in using the username "admin" with no password, then select Device Management and Address Book to access the list of entries. From there, select Maintenance, enter the Encryption Key, and select Backup to save the address book.

Step 2: Restore the Address Book on the New Copier

Once the new device is set up on the network, open your web browser and type in the IP address of the new device. Log in using the same username and password as before, then select Address Book and Maintenance. Enter the Encryption Key (if applicable) and select Restore, then browse for the file where you saved the backup. Once selected, click OK to complete the restoration process.

Following these steps will ensure that your address book is successfully transferred to your new Ricoh copier, allowing for a seamless transition with all usernames names and passwords for network folders preserved.
