Installing: Universal Print Driver (UPD)

1. Download the latest version of UPD from the HP website by selecting "Download Now" at www.hp.com/go/UPD.


2. Expand the Universal Print drivers by selecting the "+" sign.



3. Choose the Print Language (PCL 6 or PostScript) - for this example, we will select PCL 6.



4. Select the download destination for the file.




5. Unzip the download if it does not automatically unzip.



6. Look for the Install.exe file and run the installation.



7. Accept the installation by clicking "Yes."



8. Select Traditional Mode and click "Next."




9. Enter your printer's IP address.



10. Choose the driver listed with the version number.



11. Confirm the driver name or accept the default and click "Next."



12. The installation will continue.



13. Enter the Print Share Name if you are sharing, otherwise leave it on "Do Not Share."



14. Click "Finish" for final confirmation.



15. The printer is now installed in your Devices and Printers folder and ready to use.
